Damn, it has been THREE MONTHS since I've posted one of these! I should be posting them more often from now on.

I posted a few little extra comics, mostly about Pip traveling Scandinavia with me (this, sadly, is fiction), on my Patreon page while I was in Denmark in January! Go figure, the day I finished this strip, I took Ellie in to the vet and her numbers were stable. She's doing well, considering her kidney disease! 

Every time I bring her in, I confirm that, yes, she's been very lethargic lately. I keep forgetting that she's been lethargic always. Ellie just does not give a fuck about most things.

This list doesn't cover half of Pip's terrors. As I post this, he's rummaging through my garbage searching for a used tissue to tear apart.

It's kitten season! Someone in the area found two litters of kittens and brought them to the nearest shelter, but they were told the kittens would be put down (due to lack of resources and space) if they were left there.

Whoever brought in the kittens must've known Calvin would cave and take in all of them if he saw them, which he did. But he couldn't keep them all, so he posted a big FREE KITTENS sign in front of his house, and offered his foster care until they found homes.

After Smudge died in May, Calvin knew I wouldn't be able to resist adopting one of them. I checked with my vet first to make sure it would be okay for Ellie - she has kidney disease, too, the same thing that got Smudge - and she said it might actually be good for her. No-brainer!

When I visited the outdoor cat home Calvin had built for the litters, this little black kitten was the first one to say hello. Just like Smudge, he was the most responsive to me, and both the smallest and the smartest of the pack. 

And just like Smudge, being smart means he's also a little nightmare. You'll see what I mean soon.

This one's about saddle sores. Kind of.

Something I love about drawing these by hand is that little details like the colored pencil sparkles up top feel so much more special. (I should start using actual glitter at some point, bust out them craft supplies.)

Go figure, the day I started working on this was the day she stopped sleeping under the covers with me.

Guess I'll have to make a comic about how she never sleeps under the covers with me anymore so she'll go back to our routine out of contrary spite!

Spring is a tense time for our relationship.

I made the mistake of sharing this comic with my favorite yoga instructor, and now she knows my weakness.

As a bonus, this shaves off a lot of the time I used to spend on upkeep (see what I did there?).

On the bright side, having a house with a guest room means I have two beds to choose from. With butt turds, or butt turd-free.

I'm asking "How are you not freezing?" because ALSO how the fuck do beautiful people just wear, like, whatever looks good on a below-freezing day? Meanwhile I'm in fleece-lined jeans and two pairs of socks and shivering while gawking at them.

I drew this while teaching in Denmark and our teacher coordinator Erik read it over my shoulder while I was working on it. I've never so quickly assured someone that I'd cleaned my snot off their desk. 

"Sounds like a 32 to me!" is Luke's official catchphrase in my mind, but make no mistake; he is a man of many catchphrases.
